any day now.. just around the corner.
sooner than you think.
i'm sick of hearing that from my dad.. "as every one knows, there are mistakes in the bible" - the watchtower, april 15, 1928, p. 126 .
Saint Elsewhere, tell your dad he's absolutely correct. That's exactly what the monkey said when he caught his tail in the lawnmover, 'it won't be long now!'

below is my letter to the editor for my local paper.. also, i copied and sent to this paper the "press release" by silentlambs.. the scandal within the catholic church that has been brought to light recently is abhorant.
the sexual abuse of children and it's coverup is inexcusable.
can you imagine the outcry if the catholic church began to excommunicate both those who bring this tragedy to light and the victims for going public?.
Good one Yeru. Now let's see see if the words, 'the truth will set you free' compared to the 'truth will get you expelled' has it's application.

anyone have any opinions on what effect the new massachusetts law will have on dubba's?
(priests have 30 days to report any sexual abuse-or they will face criminal charges).
if you ask me, i foresee the borg's defense as:'we don't have priests, therefore the law does not apply to us'(by altering their terminology they can create loopholes).
Expelling a pedophile will not insure the safety of any neighborhood he resides. His exposure/awareness to police, public and congregations is a must to ensure safety.
All their verbal gymnastics will not make them land on their feet when it comes to pedophilia.

if there are people leaving in the multitudes...do the wtbts still need so many funds..... i mean printing would go down...kingdom hall costs etc....do they need as much money?
.
so do you think they will eva make an announcement asking that donations be kept to a minimum....seeing as they have said in the past that jehovah provides them with enough to keep the ministry going and nothing more so it cannot be used and abused in other ways...... or.....

my husband and i are visiting really good jw friends this weekend.. a little less than a year ago we moved to another state and have since become inactive and have decided that by end of this year we will probably be completely out, no matter the consequences.. we are not afraid of dfing, but i am just not sure how to broach or not broach the subject of our transformation with these friends.
i really like them, when we had trouble a few years back with elders and were "marked" they were the only ones who stood by us.. i think they are going to be really shocked.
i mean, we plan to go to an amusement park on saturday, but the husband may meet us there after he goes out in service (just makes you want to shake your head).
'....really good friends?'..... Why not allow them to bring up the subject and speak from the heart.
Here's an interesting quote that I gleaned from a postee, " We would not refuse to treat one as a brother because he did not believe the Society is the Lord's channel....There should be liberty of conscience." Wt. April 1, 1920 p. 100, 101
Enjoy your friendship.

quote from the latest magazine:.
"can we realistically expect to see the hoped-for.
'new world within a single generation'"?.
The Star, great quote.

my problem is getting tons of java scripts 'only' when i come on this forum.
i've contacted a local technician and he is dumbfounded.
i intially had problems getting on this forum for reasons i cannot explain, then, when i finally hit base, these java scripts/gremlins took over.
Thanks Simon. I'll have the technician fiddle with it.
